We are Gorean! The villagers here are neither BTB nor GE. Please bear this in mind when role-playing here. We adhere to the Gorean worldview first and foremost, as this defined what of its Earth-based Nordic influences were adopted and how. We embrace our difference and strive to continue the stories through roleplay to the best of the ability offered to us in Second Life

Lore

Two large families who had roots in the Northern parts of Gor were living in the south. They had found themselves living on an Island but had become restless. They talked and talked about stories they had heard from their parents and grandparents about how life was in the North and began planning their trip.
They held a family gathering and asked who would be in favor of traveling North, all were in favor.

So, they packed up and boarded the next ship out to sail to the mainland and on arrival, bought several wagons and bosk. They bought supplies and began their long journey Northwards.

They traveled for days, hands, moons, and at the end of the snow they cleared the northern forests. They walked further and entered an inlet with large cliffs and mountains on each side, recognizing them to be Fjords… The Fjords sheltered the land from harsh winds. A river parted two areas of land, one smaller than the other, and the leaders of both families looked at each other and nodded. “Here we camp”.

“They parked their wagons and lit a large campfire. Days, turned into hands which turned into moons, and little by little they built a village, complete with homes and buildings needed to work and trade.
The village LongHall was erected and took pride of place.

The family leaders called a meeting in the LongHall and all attended. It was said that they felt that they could make “home” there and would like to name the village. They also discussed the idea of opening the docks for trade and welcoming in others to join them.

It was discussed at length, into the early hours of morning and finally a name was chosen…. “HeimFjord” Home on the River.
